Colección: Reaching Out to You, Reaching Out to Me, Selected By Sarah-Dawn Albani (online exhibition)

About the exhibition

"The work in this collection muses over the figure. At turns haunting, celebratory, obscure, alien, vulnerable, defiant, and fragmented, the subject slips, hides, folds and announces itself in texture, color, and networks of associative form. These works create points of connection, nodes in a network of materiality, communicating and distributing feeling. The figure grounds us and remembers the body as the site of our orientation toward feeling, connection, belonging, and becoming. This is how we become ourselves, through these physical encounters with the other, you reaching out to me, reaching out to you."
